Commander 7x50 is built to be extremely robust and reliable, the binoculars have a waterproof construction down to 10 m, nitrogen filling that prevents fogging and condensation, and a durable rubber coating that resists salt water, shocks and harsh temperatures in the range of –40 °C to +80 °C. In addition, the binoculars have a Nano-Protection coating that makes the lens surface easy to clean and resistant to water and dirt.

Steiner's Open-Bridge concept and rubber coating provide a comfortable and secure grip, even with wet hands.
